A website isn’t just an online brochure or a shop front
A business website needs detailed analysis and user experience testing in order to be sure it can deliver on KPIs. Before writing a line of code we developed a full UX report to highlight the main areas to focus on.
They?had a static, non-responsive website built in Umbraco that was struggling from poor search traffic and user experience. The goal was to redevelop the website entirely into a responsive website with great user experience that could be managed internally by staff.
We created a full UX report on their current website and advised on the best method to improve the website experience for different user groups. We helped them identify the different types of users that visit the website and thus create a navigation and website structure that would optimise the site for the key users. This resulted in a rise in session duration of 31%. For a website with a lot of key information this is one of the key performance indicators we were measuring with the update to the website.
The design of the new website was also a key consideration with a real need for a modern, corporate approach without simply adhering to the standard design for business websites. We worked with the client on the design and wireframes.
The Debt Advisor are a service based business to business company within Greater Manchester. The website was built in Umbraco. Due to our experience and knowledge in Umbraco we were able to help with the migration to their new website.
The site uses a CMS that we have trained the staff to use so that they may make updates to content and create landing pages without having to call on our services, thus reducing cost. The site is streamlined, with an easy to use navigation and content structure separated into services based on user groups identified during testing. The site is mobile friendly and has had revisions to the mobile view based on user feedback. All analytics and tracking are provided through Google Analytics.
We offer the client a high level SLA where issues are logged and resolved in a timely manner, often within 12 hours. The site also has a staging area where we may test new functionality without having to take down the live site.
The site also has a full SEO suite within the CMS where tags may be updated and managed by the client or with our assistance. The project is manged through Trello and kept updated on a regular basis with the client having access to this board for transparency.
The project included the ability to adapt the main theme for use across two websites. We have managed this process and are currently implementing the new theme across to the second website. Throughout this process we have been constantly updating and advising on changes to the website to improve the user experience and increase goal conversions.
Similar to our BGH contract we have an allocation of development hours per month. We use this time to suggest features and develop additional functionality to the website. We focus on proactively identifying areas for improvement on the website based on insights / evidence from google analytics.
